Fenton is located in eastern Genesee County, approximately 15 miles south of Flint. According to the U.S. Census Bureau statistics the Greater Fenton Area has become one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Fenton is known as the lake community. There are 52 lakes in all, including 6 all-sports lakes to provide recreational fun.There is an ongoing residential building boom to this community. The Fenton area is a mixture of commercial, industrial and residential development. The newly developed Silver Lake Village area, located between Silver Lake Road and Owen Road offers residents national restaurant chains, major retail department stores, supermarket chains, dealerships, industrial businesses, national hotels, fast food chains, the Fenton Cinema and much, much more. The down area Dibbleville, still maintains its historic structures. The area is blessed with a great location, quality schools, countless lakes, a multitude of recreational opportunities all with a small town atmosphere.
