Flushing is a small quiet town located in Genesee County, approximately 7 miles from Flint on the Flint River. It is primarily a residential community, with some businesses, restaurants and retail shops. Riverview Park is the center of many local celebrations including, the Concert in the Park series, Outdoor Theater, Annual Art in the Park, the Farmers Market, the Fall Harvest Festival, and the Annual Christmas Candlewalk. The people of Flushing enjoy a small town atmosphere, with only a short distance to the city of Flint.
