LINDEN, MI. (48451) |
Linden is a small town located in
southern Genesee County, approximately 15 miles from Flint. The town is
primarily residential with a few small businesses and restaurants. Downtown
Linden maintains its historic structures, including the focal point to the town,
theold mill complete with a water wheel on Tupper Lake, where free concerts are
held once a month. There are several antique shops downtown. During the summer
the town puts on the Linden Summer Happening, which includes a parade down Broad
Street, a carnival and festival tents with live entertainment. Linden has
several private and public lakes in the area. Clover Beach has pavilions, picnic
areas with grills, a playground and a tennis court for summer enjoyment. For the
winter months there is snowmobiling and sledding in the park area. The new
residential development in ongoing in this community.
