Mt. Morris is located in northern Genesee County, approximately 6 miles from Flint. The area is primarily residential with a few businesses, retail shops, and restaurants. Recreational activities include a rollerskating rink and municipal park which provides a playground, pavilions, baseball diamonds and trails beside the pond and old-fashioned water wheel, and the annual Augustfest,held yearly. The Genesee County Fair is also held in Mt. Morris yearly. The fair is a big event with well known entertainers, a carnival, fun houses, games, livestock and much much more.
