When I bought the house it had an old garbage disposal under the sink. It was time for it to go. The water was so slow to drain at times. And I never used the disposer since I don't waste my food. So since I was all done with my downspout project this was a simple hour or so project. I did find out while taking the old pipes out that one connection was not even screwed together and yet it never leaked. I got all the lines out and the disposal out and back to menards to get some fresh new plastic drain lines. Everything went so smoothly. I only had to make one trip back to pick up an adjustable angle drain line and once that was in, I just had to check for leaks and I had one. Got that tightened up and all was well under the sink.
At some point I need to hit Sherwin Williams and get some paint for my door. I had a lil bit of a chance to check my drain grates while it rained today and so far so good. Just needed to make a few minor adjustments on the location of the downspouts themself. I have (or will after I save this entry) posted some photos of the drainline work. Reason I spent so much time and energy on this project? Water is the worst enemy of your house. So take care of it and keep it dry. Joel joel
