Well the new furnace got installed today. Install was by Austin heating and cooling. The owner of the company was here with his one associate and they started at 9:15 and were done around 1-2pm. I also got a bonus in that they were out of the 60K BTU furnaces so I got an 80K at no extra charge. Also got a humidifier installed free of charge. They had to beat the other quote I got from the other company with the same furnace. After they left I finished changing the diff fluid in the ram rear end. That stuff was black like oil! Totally needed a change. Crawled under the rest of the truck just checking things out... rolled under the humvee and saw a loose wire. Fixed it, then tried to tighten up the p/s pump and found a broken bolt. SIGH... so I get the humvee into the garage and tear it down and get the ps pump off and got the broken bolt out in almost record time. one word: antiseize! Stuff is the best. I use it faithfully for any bolt from now on.
This past Saturday I went out to a military vehicle auction with 3 guys I know. One of em buys a 1943ish Ford jeep frame and body and engine really bad shape for 500.00 once hes home he sends a message he sold it for 2000.00 to a guy in Cali. That is luck. I didn't get anything at the auction myself tho. Next big project for outside the house is to double up the insulation in the exterior walls. I might also start replacing my copper lines with the PEX plastic stuff.
